Meet our Team

Simon Briggs
Managing Director
Simon had many years experience in private practice and as Head of Land Survey within Hanson, before establishing the company that was to become Geodime in 2004.
He is still very involved in all aspects of the work Geodime undertakes and has a passion for innovation in the geospatial industry.
He strived to make Geodime among the first UK companies to use drones for surveying and is continually investing in cutting edge technology to provide the best possible solutions to our clients.
Simon prioritises developing strong relationships with our clients, which we value highly, and is now supporting some of our clients in their own adoption of drones.
Simon is a well-known face in our industry, regularly giving talks and writing technical articles for industry bodies.

Sarah O'Toole
Senior Surveyor and Drawing Office Manager
Sarah has many years experience in the utility and aggregate sectors as well as in private practice. She is also highly skilled in CAD applications.
Sarah runs our drawing office but also is frequently on site carrying out topographical and measured building surveys together with routine volumetric work. She also undertakes many of our mine surveys and is our in-house expert in laser scanning.

Cameron Clarke
Senior Engineering Surveyor
Cameron's impressive career has brought innovation to the global geospatial industry, introducing RTK GPS to North American seismic exploration and responsible for airborne spatial data in Asia and Alaska from 1996. He was also MD of Fugro MAPS in Dubai.
Cameron leads on Geodime's site engineering and machine control, generating 3D models from complex design drawings, he also advises on the application of LIDAR.

Luke McAndrew
UAV Pilot and Surveyor
Luke had a diverse career including eight years in HM Armed Forces, with mobilisation to Iraq. A technical member of the Institute of Quarrying, he spent a decade as a shotfirer, including using drones and lasers to profile faces and brings extensive quarry experience.
Luke joined Geodime as a UAV Pilot and is responsible for airborne photogrammetry and aerial operations planning while building his skillsets in other aspects of our business.

Naomi Humphreys
Land Surveyor
Naomi has a strong background in surveying, specialising in geomatics within the archaeology sector. She developed a strong skillset, most recently working as a Senior Archaeologist at University College London.
Naomi joined Geodime to apply her geomatics experience to a wider range of sectors and to build her skills as a Land Surveyor.

Neil Langley
Geospatial Data Processor
Neil has had a fascinating career, working as a cartographer for the survey industry back in the 80s and 90s, when the role looked very different and plotting was done by hand.
After moving to other things, Neil has joined Geodime to step back into the world of surveying and geomatics. While the technology has seen revolutionary changes, the theory remains the same, and Neil's experience is a valuable addition to the team.

Sean Coulson
Junior Land Surveyor
Sean has joined us with a First Class degree in Resource and Exploration Geology BSc from Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter, to embark on a career in geomatics.
Sean is becoming a familiar face to many of you as he spends time out developing his skillsets in all of the different types of surveying we undertake.

Nigel Sharpe
Senior Surveyor
Nigel has vast experience of topographical and volumetric surveying, and has worked with us for nearly two decades, becoming a familiar face and safe pair of hands at sites around the UK.
He carries out numerous aggregate stock surveys for Geodime each month, producing highly accurate reports to extremely tight timescales.

Alex Briggs
Business Development and Ecology Lead
Alex is an ecologist with a First Class Masters Degree. He is highly trained in GIS and is responsible for developing bespoke and innovative analyses for our clients.
Responsible for finding new geospatial solutions using developing airborne sensors, in fields such as ecology and precision agriculture, his research has included working with the ReinCar project in the Norwegian mountains. Alex also leads on video production.

Catherine Briggs
Office Manager
Before taking a career break Catherine worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for the NHS, enjoying working with people.
Catherine manages the office, including invoicing and running the accounts, and is often the friendly voice at the other end of the phone.

Finlay
Responsible for Post and Pens
Finlay is driving our move to a paperless office by ripping up all our post and eating the pens.
He is also working on persuading the postman not to put anything through our letterbox.
