Hello to Another New Team Member

We are very pleased to welcome Neil to the team, who has recently joined us as a Geospatial Data Processor.
Neil first became involved with the survey industry in the 1980s and 90s, working as a data processor and cartographer. Then, the role included manually plotting and drawing survey data, and photogrammetry was a slow process involving manually comparing dozens of overlapping photographs.
After moving to other things, Neil has joined Geodime to step back into the world of surveying and geomatics and catch up with the revolutionary changes that the industry has seen. Today, processing survey data involves computers with huge processing capacity, for example photogrammetric surveys regularly involve hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs combined to create complex 3D models.
While the technology has changed radically, the theory behind our techniques remains the very similar. Neil’s experience means he can already make a valuable contribution to our team, which is growing rapidly as he masters our new techniques.
