Geodime have long understood the value of using drone-based sensors for not only for inspection but also for creating accurate and highly detailed 3D models of heritage buildings. Our adoption of new technology and techniques was recognised with a talk to the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings at their 2015 conference. 

We now combine imagery captured by drones with data captured by ground-based laser scanners to provide a complete model of the interior and exterior of buildings. We provide accurate, high resolution models allowing 3D data to be exported to a variety of applications such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and structural analysis packages.

Digital archiving provides a unique opportunity in the conservation and restoration of heritage and archaeological sites of significance, with restoration planning and degradation monitoring becoming especially important in times of increasingly unstable weather conditions.
