Geodime has an in-house archaeologist and surveyor who has over 10 years working within the archaeological/heritage industry. We can assist with setting out (evaluation trenches, test pits, excavation and mitigation areas) as well as undertaking pre-excavation and post-excavation survey for the production of progress plans and final drawings. We can provide .dxf/.dwg and PDF outputs of your raw survey data – and/or further produce finished plans for your reports. We can also assist with all aspects of report illustration required for WSI’s, DBA’s, Evaluation and Excavation (PXA) reports.
Survey data can be combined with drone photography and photogrammetry to further help identify archaeological features as well as provide clients/stakeholders with progress plans and/or 3D models to enhance the archaeological record. These outputs also create a visually impactful resource which can also be used to boost public engagement.
Geodime also undertakes LiDAR surveys which can help identify and record areas of archaeological interest across large sites and we also undertake terrestrial laser scanning of heritage buildings.
Ecology
At Geodime we use cutting-edge instrumentation, such as our fleet of UAVs with thermal and infra-red sensors, for ecological applications. Examples of our services include:
- Monitoring vegetation change and stress
- The presence, population size, habitat preferences
- The behaviour of birds and mammals
We can also bring together various data sources to perform many complex analyses, from population counts to combining expert knowledge of habitat preferences with high resolution topographic, vegetation and land use data to produce predictive habitat models.
This is an area that is developing rapidly, and we have worked to provide solutions for a number of conservation organisations and academic research projects.
Using our expertise in surveying, biodiversity and conservation we can create bespoke monitoring solutions for your project. Don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss how we can help you.
Land and Property Owners
Whether you own a small house or an estate, an accurate, detailed topographical survey will always be the starting point of any planned change. This might be anything from the elevations of a house to a detailed survey of grounds, or the verification of boundaries.
Geodime prides itself on offering bespoke solutions with the ability to provide high quality deliverables beyond conventional survey. For most jobs we will routinely include an ortho-photo overlay, scaled and accurate, to put the survey into context. We can also provide visualisations, flythroughs or high-quality imagery and videos. If you have a lake then we can also map the bathymetry.
