A 3D model of a castle

At a recent conference Geodime gave a talk discussing the emerging role of UAVs in ancient building inspection and conservation.

As UAV technology develops, so do the manifold applications of drones for surveying. Our Managing Director Simon Briggs’ talk at the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings Conference in Birmingham introduced the use of UAVs for the inspection of ancient buildings.

With drones able to take your perspective into hard to access areas, as well as see beyond the visible light spectrum, they make the perfect tool for inspecting and assessing ancient structures. Just another exciting application of UAVs.
